2018 Nissan Maxima Review

Sporty and sophisticated, the Nissan Maxima is truly a unique car. It’s beautifully designed, incredibly luxurious, and delivers one of the most responsive and powerful performances in its class. And now, it’s back for 2018.

The 2018 Nissan Maxima is coming soon, and we don’t expect too many changes for it. Regardless, we know drivers all over Boardman, Youngstown, and Western PA are more than excited to see everything it has to offer.

In this 2018 Nissan Maxima review, Boardman Nissan takes a closer look at the updates, features, and technology you can expect from this year’s model.

Sport Sedan Style in the Nissan Maxima

When it comes to overall looks, the Nissan Maxima is one of the most eye-catching vehicles on the market. Based on last year’s model, we can expect the 2018 Maxima to feature that iconic sport sedan style we’ve all come to know and love. Its body will be sculpted, streamlined, and will sit low enough to create an aerodynamic profile and performance. To top it all off, its boomerang-style headlights will further enhance its defining presence on the road.

Inside the 2018 Maxima, we’re anticipating a sporty design that’ll make the cabin look and feel like a high-performance cockpit. With interior accent lighting, leather seating surfaces with diamond-quilted inserts, and a variety of high-end materials, the sport sedan’s interior is sure to be quite luxurious, too.

Nissan Maxima Performance

One of the best things about driving in the Nissan Maxima is its performance, and the same can be said for its 2018 model. With a history of generating a powerful and responsive ride, the Maxima should come equipped with a 3.5L V6 engine that gets 300 horsepower and 361 lb-ft of torque. It may also include the advanced Xtronic CVT® (Continuously Variable Transmission) for a smoother, more efficient ride.

On top of that, the 2018 Nissan Maxima will feature a Drive Mode Selector as well as a sport-tuned suspension system. Designed to increase responsiveness, these systems can really put the sport in this sport sedan.

Nissan Maxima Features

Based on its previous model, we think the 2018 Nissan Maxima will be as well-equipped as ever. From infotainment systems like the NissanConnect? infotainment system to comfort features like climate-controlled heated and cooled front seats, the Maxima will come with tons of interior technologies.

Of course, there’s more to this sedan than just interior features. For enhanced safety and peace of mind, the Maxima will come with the following driver-assist technologies:

  • Predictive Forward Collision Warning
  • Intelligent Cruise Control
  • Rear Cross Traffic Alert
  • Blind Spot Warning

The Nissan Maxima will also include Automatic Emergency Braking. Using radar technology, it can monitor the distance between you and the car ahead. By emitting audible and visual warnings, this system helps you slow down if it detects a possible frontal collision. If you don’t react, it’ll then activate the brakes to help you avoid an accident.

Plus, here’s the best part: Automatic Emergency Braking will be standard for all 2018 Nissan Maxima trims.
